NFCC Honors College Employees for Professional Achievement and Years of Service
MADISON, FL – North Florida Community College employees gathered at the NFCC Studen Center recently for the college’s annual employee recognition ceremony. The gathering honors all NFCC employees for their contributions to the college, recognizes NFCC’s Above and Beyond award recipients and honors employees for years of service to NFCC.
Two NFCC employees were selected to receive NFCC’s Above and Beyond Award for 2016-2017 – Lori Pleasant and Dr. Julie Townsend of Madison County. Pleasant is the Registrar at NFCC. Townsend serves as the Director of Nursing and Allied Health. The Above and Beyond awards are given each year to NFCC employees, staff and faculty members, who go above the call of their regular jobs to assist students, to assist their colleagues or to benefit the college.
Fourteen employees received service awards from NFCC recognizing years of service ranging from five years to twenty-five years. They are:
25 Years: Gwen Bivens (Jefferson County) and Daniel Harris (Madison County)
20 Years: Glenn Waller (Madison County)
15 Years: Elizabeth Gonzales (Madison County), John Grosskopf (Madison County), Kathy Hidy (Madison County) and Lynn Waller (Madison County)
10 Years:Tolu Jegede (Leon County), Bonnie Littlefield (Leon County), Ellen Sherrod (Madison County), Julie Townsend (Madison County) and Lynn Wyche (Madison County).
5 Years: Russ Baldwin (Madison County), Karen Everett (Taylor County), David Palomino (Lafayette County), Robin Pearson (Lafayette County) and Philip Wilkerson (Madison County)
Nineteen employees received special recognition for professional achievement. Certificates were given in honor of employees completing degrees, publishing works, and/or serving on state and national boards among other things. Those honored include Johnathan Cooks, Kamecia Davis, Georgia Dietz, Lawrence Dunn, Bill Eustace, Cheri Green, Officer Louis Griffin (DSI), Lynette Harvey, Desiree James, Captain Maurice James (DSI), Skip James, Rose Knox, Dani Mays, Keisha Martinez, Takiyah Mitchell, Dr. Jorge Monreal, Elli Morgan, Kim Scarboro and Margaret Wilkerson.
