NFCC Community Theatre presents Welcome to Walt’s Nov. 10-11
A portion of proceeds to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project
MADISON, FL – North Florida Community College’s Community Theatre troupe, the Sentinel Upstage Players, will perform Welcome to Walt's, a military themed comedic drama chronicling the struggles of balancing one’s sense of duty with the weight of responsibility back at the home front, on Nov. 10 and 11 at Van H. Priest Auditorium. Written and directed by Johnathan A. Cooks, Multimedia & Public Relations Manager at NFCC, the play features 13 local stars that include NFCC students, alumni, employees and community members. The Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7 p.m. Veterans receive free admission and a Veterans Day ticket special is being offered to everyone – buy two tickets, get one free. Tickets are available in advance from the NFCC College Advancement Office (Bldg. 32), online at www.ticketsource.us/nfc, or at the door the night of the performance.
In honor of Veterans Day, a portion of the proceeds from this production will be donated to Wounded Warrior Project.

When Colin, Walt’s nephew and local war veteran returns home, it’s up to Walt to rally his sister-in-law, her troubled kids and the rest of the community to fight past their own personal battles before the big homecoming, so Colin doesn’t find himself walking into another war.
