NFC Announces Jefferson County Senior Scholarship Winners
JEFFERSON, FL (April 25, 2023) – The North Florida College (NFC) Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the Operation Outreach scholarship drawing offered to Jefferson County seniors. On April 18, the NFC Foundation presented scholarship winners Brooklynn Kirkpatrick and Corbin West with their celebratory checks at Jefferson High School. Kirkpatrick and West are seniors at Jefferson K-12 and are each receiving a tuition-paid scholarship to attend North Florida College.
The Operation Outreach program at the NFC Foundation places a special focus on each county within the college’s district. Each year, a random scholarship drawing is conducted in the county of focus. Winners of the Operation Outreach scholarship drawing receive up to 60 credit hours tuition-free and may choose to enroll in any of NFC’s academic or career and workforce education programs.
Traci McClung, Director of Resource Development at the NFC Foundation, congratulated the seniors on the scholarship win and their upcoming graduation. “Brooklynn and Corbin are entering an exciting time in their lives and we are honored that North Florida College can be a part of their stories. We hope that these scholarships will open doors that allow them to dream big for their education and future careers.” said McClung.
The NFC Foundation offers many scholarships to students in Jefferson County and across the NFC service area. For more information on how you can afford college, visit https://www.nfc.edu/foundation-giving/scholarships/, or email Foundation@nfc.edu.
