Summary
NFC is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Adjunct Nursing Instructor for clinical instruction in Maternal-Child Nursing (Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby, Newborn Nursing). The required time is 1-2 days (10-hour shifts) per week based on availability and clinical rotation schedules. Clinical sites vary per semester but are located primarily in Valdosta, GA and Tallahassee, FL. Clinical days and times vary per semester but are generally Monday-Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm.
Multiple positions are available in RN, LPN-RN Bridge, and LPN programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares, instructs, and grades all clinical coursework using appropriate grading criteria.
- Effectively uses oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains regularly scheduled hours to provide instruction for assigned clinical meeting times, dates, and locations.
- Maintains records of student attendance.
- Maintains timely compliance with clerical and administrative responsibilities.
- Keeps current in the program area taught.
- Assists in College recruitment and retention efforts, as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications
- BSN Required
- MSN preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in Maternal Child Nursing is required.
- 4 years of recent clinical experience in Maternal Child Nursing preferred.
- Previous clinical instruction of students is preferred but not required.
Must have a clear and unencumbered Florida or multi-state Nursing license.
Supplemental Information
This is a part time Clinical instructor assignment. Adjunct Instructors for this position can earn between $39.00 and $42.00 per hour based on qualifications.

Summary
The Agribusiness Management Instructor will be responsible for implementation and development of the Agribusiness Management degree program at North Florida College. Duties include the instruction and retention of students enrolled in the program as well as placement activities to assist students with employment upon completion. The instructor will coordinate and implement the day-to-day Agribusiness Management program processes (to include marketing, recruitment, advising and monitoring of students); and evaluation and collection of data related to the program. The Agribusiness Management instructor will work under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Economic Development and Career/Workforce Education to ensure that program objectives are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Below are listed the primary tasks identified for this position. The duties articulated though not exhaustive, indicate the majority of the functions assigned to this position. Other duties may be assigned based on institutional need.
- Management of all courses to ensure that Agribusiness Management training meet the goals and objectives of North Florida College.
- Perform as the lead instructor for the program, responsible for instruction and retention of program participants as well as their safety. Ability to work with and plan with other departments across campus, specifically Business Education.
- Assist with the recruitment and scheduling of adjuncts, ensuring adequate program staffing levels.
- Maintain active communication with, and develop the Agribusiness Management Advisory Committee, scheduling at least two meetings per academic year (Fall and Spring).
- Assist with marketing and student recruitment for the Agribusiness Management degree program.
- Research and implement needed licensure/credential requirements for students that are meaningful and recognized regional/national credentials and be willing to obtain same
- Maintain student files, ensuring they meet all State and Federal requirements and be available for all State and Federal compliance audits
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A master’s degree in the field of study and at least seven (5) years of verifiable working experience in the field.

Summary
NFC is seeing enthusiastic candidates for an adjunct CDL instructor. Through strong, local support from the truck driving and timber industry, North Florida College offers a certified program in the field of commercial truck driving. This program is designed to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license ("CDL") as well continuing education refreshers for existing drivers. A portion of the training focuses on the specific skills needed within the timber industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach Entry Level Driving Training portion of the Truck Driver Training Program, including Handling and documenting cargo, hours of service, post-crash procedures, trip planning, etc.
- Teach Pre-Trip, Range (basic maneuvers), Road (each student drives 1000 miles on public roads, 200 must be done at night)
- Evaluate and grade students throughout the program.
- Maintain relationships with employers in the trucking industry and assist with the recruitment/placement of students.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess an active Class A CDL (commercial driver’s license)
- Over-the-road experience is required, experience in the logging industry is preferred.
